Narrative therapy is a social justice-focused that asserts, ‘The person is not the problem. The problem is the problem’. Through this approach, suffering is dignified and skills and knowledges of  survival and resistance are validated. This is described by First Nation’s leader Aunty Barb Wingard as “telling our stories in ways that make us stronger”. Through exploring the hidden stories and interrogating power imbalances, hopes for a future path become more available. This work is about community including those who are remembered and we give living testimony to.
