Jules Piccinin

Jules Piccinin Therapy

Jules offers a warm, supportive space where people can show up as they are. He works especially with men and young people who may not have had many places where they felt safe to talk openly about what’s really going on. Jules meets clients with care, curiosity, and respect, and moves at a pace that feels right for each person, with a strong focus on safety, trust, and choice.

Jules’ work is grounded in Gestalt therapy and focuses on what’s happening in the here and now — in your thoughts, feelings, body, and relationships. He helps clients notice patterns that often develop in response to earlier experiences, including complex trauma (CPTSD), and how these patterns can show up as stress, emotional shutdown, anger, anxiety, or feeling stuck.

A key part of Jules’ work is supporting people to reconnect with their bodies. Many people have learned to push feelings down or stay “in their head” to cope. Jules gently helps clients notice how stress and emotions show up physically, and how the body can offer important signals about needs, boundaries, and safety. This body-based approach can support greater grounding, emotional regulation, and self-understanding.

Jules also works with different parts of the self — the parts that protect, the parts that hold pain, and the parts that learned to cope early in life. Rather than trying to get rid of these parts, Jules helps clients relate to them with curiosity and compassion. This can reduce inner conflict, build self-trust, and support lasting change.

With over 15 years’ experience in youth work, Jules is particularly passionate about supporting adolescents, young adults, and men navigating trauma, identity, relationships, emotional expression, and life transitions. He understands the pressures many men and young people face to “hold it together” or cope alone, and offers a non-judgmental space where healing can unfold at your own pace.

Jules is an LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity-affirming therapist, committed to creating a compassionate and inclusive space where every client feels seen, supported, and accepted.
