Elisabeth is a widely experienced Counsellor, who has been in the People Connection, and Support field, for over 30 years.
Elisabeth welcomes and encourages you to come to sessions exactly as you are, and to bring with you whatever it is you need the session for.
Elisabeth has worked as a Youth worker, AOD counsellor, and across many areas of Mental Health. Elisabeth became a Registered Mental Health Social Worker in 2011, and sees individual clients on Mental Health Care Plans, with fees on a sliding scale
Elisabeth has worked with Couples, Families and Individuals, as a relationship counsellor, since completing Post Grad degrees and training in 2014 and 2018
Elisabeth draws from a broad, client centred and focused range of therapeutic approaches, including Gottman, IFS, Schema Therapy and Attachment based work
Elisabeth has worked as an EAP counsellor, and co-facilitated groups around parenting after separation, Emotion Coaching of primary school aged children, and as a support to Carers of family members with mental illness.
Elisabeth has worked deeply with people experiencing various forms of grief,- facing a terminal diagnosis, death of loved ones, pets, relationship endings, including friendships, and disenfranchised and anticipatory grief, in which social recognition and support is usually scarce
Elisabeth has also worked over many years with individuals who were placed in permanent care institutions as children, and are undertaking the National Redress scheme process.
Elisabeth is a proud and passionate Allie to the LGBTQIA+ Community, and has a special interest in supporting individuals and families navigating gender and sexual identity. Elisabeth welcomes parents of children/ young people/ young adults who are looking to further understand and support their child in their gender and/or sexual identity journey.
