Ché Stevenson

Ché (he/they) is a Korean-born, US-raised intercountry adoptee who has been residing in Naarm since 2008. Ché brings a unique perspective shaped by their personal experiences of identity, belonging, and the complexities of self-discovery through a transracial lens. Their therapeutic work focuses on supporting individuals navigating identity and existential crises, as well as addressing issues such as racism, queerphobia, bullying, domestic violence, sexual assault, loneliness, and C-PTSD.
Recognising that trauma profoundly influences how we relate to ourselves and others, Ché is deeply committed to creating a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic space. Ché aims to help clients form meaningful connections and to navigate their experiences at a pace that suits each individual, working together toward healing and growth.
Ché is a compassionate and empathic counsellor focused on providing culturally safe, person-centered, collaborative, and strength-based approaches to psychotherapy. Ché utilises integrative and evidence-based practices, drawing from therapeutic modalities and theories such as: CBT, ACT, EFT, Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, Transpersonal Therapy,
Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy, psychoeducation, somatic and mindfulness practices. This humanistic approach enables safer and deeper exploration of life experiences, their meaning within the mind-body connection, as well as effective navigation of psychological distress and coping with ongoing life complexities.
Ché enjoys working with individuals from all intersections of life, including BIPOC, LGBTIQA+, Gender Non-Binary, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), Adoptees and Carers, and People with Disabilities.

Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (after hours Tuesday - Thursday until 7:30 pm) Occasional Saturdays 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
